Position Overview:

We seek a dynamic and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. As the Foreman, you will lead and supervise a site construction crew, ensuring compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and company quality standards. Your strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential in managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision to our site construction team, assign tasks, and manage performance.

• Communicate effectively with crew members, clients, and sub trades to convey project requirements and updates.

• Troubleshoot, solve problems and conflicts with precision and accuracy, and provide feedback to the management team.

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of construction processes, B.C. building codes, WCB standards, and building materials.

• Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.

• Enforce safety protocols and WCB regulations, and promote a safe and supportive environment on site.

• Facilitate work with subcontractors, suppliers, and local regulation inspectors.

• Manage project workload, prioritize tasks, and maintain a productive work environment.

• Keep accurate written records of site progress and communicate effectively with the management team.

• Participate in professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a Construction Foreman or equivalent role, ideally in a residential custom home building setting.

• 10 years of experience in the construction industry.

• In-depth knowledge of the main building stages: formwork, framing, siding, and finishing.

• In-depth knowledge of construction materials and tools.

• In-depth knowledge of BCBC, WCB regulations and safety protocols.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Journeyman Red Seal certification is a strong asset.
